Smoking Cessation
Toxins such as what are found in cigarettes, damage the balance of healthy neurochemistry. Imbalances in the brains neurochemicals lead to addictive cravings. Smokers are between three to four times more likely to relapse on drugs than a non-smoker.
Over 50 million Americans smoke. Worldwide, one out of three persons over the age of 18 is a smoker.
The reasons to quit smoking are endless. Cigarettes have over 4,000 chemicals, including 43 known cancer-causing compounds and more than 400 other known toxins. These include nicotine, tar and carbon monoxide which are found even in organic cigarettes, as well as formaldehyde, ammonia, hydrogen cyanide, arsenic and DDT. According to the CDC, tobacco is the cause of 443,000 premature American deaths each year, and is associated with emphysema, lung cancer, high blood pressure, shortness of breath, chronic cough and an increase in frequency of colds and flu.
Most smokers wish they could quit, however lack the ability to do so. We have found ways to make this transition comfortable.

Electronic cigarettes ? help to satisfy the nicotine cravings. They also reduce to toxic byproducts produced by oxidizing (burning) plant matter and inhaling it, as well as the additional toxins added to most tobacco. We provide electronic cigarettes to smokers at our residence at no additional charge.
Niacin ? Nicotine metabolizes into Nicotinic Acid, which is Niacin. Niacin is a calming nutrient. Smokers may find the calming effect of smoking a cigarette from the Niacin for this reason. Supplementing with Niacin can provide this same effect.
Smoking Cessation Education ? We use educational materials provided by the American Cancer Society as well as educational material we have designed explaining the neurochemical and neurotoxic effects of prolonged cigarette use.
Acupuncture ? As a natural means to smoking cessation, acupuncture has gained massive popularity, largely due to its success. Courts often mandate acupuncture treatment for drug addicts because of its ability to reduce cravings and alleviate withdrawal symptoms.
Acupuncture is successful with smoking cessation and has turned a growing number of cigarette smokers into permanent ex-smokers. Treatments take all of your symptoms into account and aim at balancing the energy within the body to optimize health.
The acupuncture treatments focus on jitters, cravings, irritability and restlessness; all symptoms that people commonly complain about when they quit. It also aids in relaxation and detoxification.
