IV Chelation Therapy

Heavy metal toxins, such as lead and mercury residues, have a high affinity for fatty tissue. This causes these toxins to accumulate in the body. Water soluble things taken in excess, like B vitamins for instance, will simply be eliminated through the urine. Vitamin A is a fat soluble vitamin, and as such, can accumulate and reach toxic levels.

These heavy metals and other toxins aggregate not only in what we think of as fat, like a bulging waistline, but in other fatty tissues as well. The glandular tissue including the endocrine glands are largely composed of fat. The white part of the brain, and the myelin of the nerves are composed of fat. Each cell membrane is also composed of fat.

The toxins alter the function of endocrine glands. Thyroid function, hormones, the Thymus gland, and Adrenals all are affected by the presence of heavy metal toxins. These heavy metals excite the glands, acting as excito-toxins, resulting in over-stimulation.

In the neurology, the toxins also act as excito-toxins, overstimulating the neurology. This takes the form of anxiety and also often psychosis, as it seems that the conductivity of these metals in the nervous tissue can cause depolarization resulting in an erroneous signal. This can look like hearing voices. It can also look like the visual and auditory association pathways in the brain making loose associations, such as they see a person wearing all black-they conclude that the person must work for the shadow government, or hallucinations. The anxiety is then treated with benzodiazepines, and the psychosis with anti psychotics, while the actual cause remains.

Toxin removal is a delicate art. We use a DMPS challenge to test for the presence of toxins. The DMPS has a higher affinity for the toxin than the fatty tissue does, and it is delivered in a small dose by injection. The urine is then collected and sent off to a lab to see what toxins were pulled from the body. This gives us an indicator of what the toxic load is. Upon positive findings for toxicity, we then continue to use the DMPS delivered through an IV to continue removing the toxins. Through this method, people can reduce the toxic load, and therefore the harmful effects of the toxins on a cellular level. Other agents such as Glutathione are used to help minimize the effect of the toxins leaving the body.
